Meet the Photographer

My name is Rachel and I'm the photographer behind DESIGNY. Before anything, let's get the name straight. Pronounce it as de-ZINE-ee. Now on to more important facts.

I love to collect vintage cameras and photography equipment, as you can see from the picture on the side. I don't actually shoot with them for two reasons: they don't work, and they are not digital. So unless you want to scan your images afterwards...

I am a product photographer for over 15 years because it's what I love to do. I've shot an exciting assortment of items ranging from food to toys to decor, and from tableware to fashion to household items. I've mastered the dreaded shiny silver items and the devilish clear plastic ones. I have stood on one leg and balanced on one arm to get the perfect shot. I have shot in blizzards and thunderstorms and I have plans to do it again sometime.
